Black Cultural Archives is a heritage organisation dedicated to collecting, preserving and celebrating the history of Black people in the UK. We are embarking on a capital project to open the UK’s first national Black heritage centre in 2011.
We require a Project Director to oversee the management and delivery of the project. The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering a successful capital project and a track record in the heritage or cultural sector. The post holder will report to the Black Cultural Archives’ Director and Project Board and direct the work of the external Project Manager and consultants to deliver the project. They will be a highly effective manager and excellent communicator who can embed the Black Cultural Archives’ vision and values into all aspects of the project.
